Ross Turchaninov, MD (Ukrane), Phd, LMT

Founder Science of Massage Institute

A View From Above: Core Principals of Somatic Rehabilitation.

Creating a Web From Which We can Develop Clinical Reasoning

This lecture is a primer for the hands on segments occurring
Thursday and Friday.

In this evening lecture we will see the broad view of manual therapy "from above".  Dr Ross will outline the key principles of somatic rehabilitation. Then Thursday and Friday he will give us a sequence of applications in a clinical format as well as the specifics of applying these techniques based on each particular patient/client's case presentation.

Dr Ross feels we all need to be multi-skilled to be ready to use any of our skills  (like a particular tool in our tool box) at any given moment.

This creates CLINICAL MASSAGE REASONING.

We the therapists, become flexible for any given treatment  for any given case, and this allows us to have an appropriate response to any given problem.

If we create links of approaches, we create a web that allows the client/patient the best rehabilitation possible.
